🇦🇺 Collingwood midfielder Jordan De Goey has been handed a three-match suspension by the Tribunal for his bump that concussed West Coast youngster Elijah Hewett.

The hearing lasted just 75 minutes in total as De Goey pled guilty to the rough conduct (high bump) charge that was graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact. (AFL)

"In all circumstances we do not consider the matter requires a higher sanction than the three weeks base sanction that applies for this grading," - Tribunal Chairman Jeff Gleeson said.

⚽️ Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager on a four-year contract.

Postecoglou, 57, leaves Celtic after winning successive Scottish Premiership titles in his two seasons in charge.

"Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play. He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy - everything that is important to our club," - said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

⛳️ The PGA Tour and DP World Tour have agreed to merge with Saudi Arabian-backed circuit LIV Golf in a deal that ends the acrimonious split in the game.

The surprise announcement comes after a year of unprecedented disruption in the men's game following the launch of LIV.

"This is a historic day for the game," said Jay Monahan, commissioner of the PGA Tour.

The partnership is a massive restructuring for the sport, which has been torn apart over the past few years as LIV Golf, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, muscled its way onto the scene, offering huge contracts to players who were pressured to declare allegiances. The tie-up will end all pending litigation between the parties, the three groups said in a statement.

PGA Tour and DP World Tour retaining oversight of their specific circuits. The PGA Tour will appoint a majority of a new board, and will have a majority of the voting interest.

PIF will be the group’s exclusive outside investor, according to the statement, which doesn’t say how much it intends to put into the venture. More details will follow, including a name for the new entity, and what it means for players and fans. (PGA)
