🎾 Canada trounced Australia in the Davis Cup final as Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime ran hot.
Canada easily defeated Australia to claim their first-ever Davis Cup title as Denis Shapovalov and Félix Auger-Aliassime powered past opponents Thanasi Kokkinakis and Alex De Minaur at the final in Malaga.
Australia was looking for a 29th Davis Cup title, and its first since 2003 but it would not eventuate as Canada ended their own 122—year wait to hold the trophy aloft.

⛳️ Open champion Cameron Smith starred in his hometown of Brisbane to win the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship by three strokes.

🇦🇺 Sunday’s grand final at the new Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield, southwest of Brisbane, didn’t “go off” the way the Lions would have hoped. Instead, Melbourne reached the pinnacle, coming out winners 2.7 (19) to 2.3 (15).
The four-point victory will be sheer relief as much as excitement for the Dees, having lost to Adelaide in the season six grand final earlier this year. But finally, after seven seasons in the mix, Melbourne and their beloved captain, Daisy Pearce are AFLW premiers at last.

🏉 NSW Waratahs revelation Mark Nawaqanitawase has emerged as an unlikely World Cup go-to man following an inspired spring tour of Europe.
After starting the Super Rugby season on the bench for the Waratahs, Nawaqanitawase finished the year as a stand-out winger on the end of Australia's backline for the Wallabies' last three Tests.
The 22-year-old's second-half try-scoring double sparked the Wallabies' incredible 39-34 comeback win over Wales from 21 points down with 23 minutes remaining on Saturday night.
