Brisbane Lions star Jarrod Berry is free to play in Friday's preliminary final against Geelong after having his one-match ban for unnecessary contact overturned at the AFL tribunal.

Berry was freed to face the Cats after tribunal chair Jeff Gleeson determined that his contact with the eye region of Melbourne's Clayton Oliver was not deliberate.

🏉 The Wallabies and All Blacks will once again battle it out for the Bledisloe Cup, set to open the series in Melbourne on Thursday night.

Dave Rennie's men are hungry to bounce back after a disappointing defeat to the Springboks in Sydney.

They face an All Blacks outfit full of confidence after their thumping victory over Argentina in Waikato.

🥊 Paul Gallen and Justin Hodges had to be separated during a press conference ahead of the boxing doubleheader on Thursday which also features Ben Hannant.

The obligatory shoving match ahead of the fight was sparked by comments made by Hodges on Monday, who branded Gallen, the "worst Origin captain in history."

Gallen mentioned the comments on stage before calling on the former Maroons star to run at him, leading to the pair being separated.

🚘 Australian motorsport legend Molly Taylor has confirmed she will compete in the Dakar Rally again in 2023.

Taylor became the first Australian woman to take on the Dakar last January and believes that experience will hold her in good stead during a busy period, including the Rallye du Maroc.

🏃🏼SHOUT OUT: Nedd Brockmann - who intends to break the world record for the fastest crossing of Australia – 100 km a day from Cottesloe Beach to Bondi Beach for 40 days – the equivalent of nearly 100 marathons.
