🏏 Australia won the World Test Championship by ruthlessly dismantling India on the fifth day of the final at The Oval.
India's slim hopes of reaching a world-record target of 444 rested on Virat Kohli, 44 not out as they began on 164-3, but the fans' hero was out for 49 in the seventh over of the day.
Kohli aimed a loose drive at Scott Boland, with Steve Smith taking a stunning catch at second slip. In the same over, Ravindra Jadeja edged Boland behind.

The game in their grasp, Australia efficiently worked through the lower order before lunch to dismiss India for 234 and take victory by 209 runs. Boland ended with 3-46, off-spinner Nathan Lyon 4-41.
They become the second winners of the World Test Championship, following New Zealand's success two years ago.

❤️ Richmond favourite Bachar Houli has been airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a car crash.
Houli retired after the 2021 season, playing 232 games including 26 at Essendon and 206 at Richmond.
The Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph reports Houli was in a ute which rolled over several times with a friend near Canberra. He reportedly broke his pelvis and suffered several other fractures.
He is believed to be in a stable condition.
🚨 AFL premiership player Marlion Pickett has been arrested and charged in Perth over a series of alleged burglaries.
Pickett, who plays for the Richmond Tigers, was arrested and charged in relation to alleged aggravated burglary, stealing and criminal damage offences, targeting commercial properties, in Western Australia last December and January. (news)

Brooks, 28, is off contract this season but has told the Tigers this will be his last year at Concord.

🤕 Queensland have been forced to make a shock change for State of Origin II, with Selwyn Cobbo ruled out with injury [Hip].
The Courier Mail reports Cobbo took a knock to his hip in Game I in Adelaide, where he scored two tries in Queensland’s 26-18 win.
Cobbo’s injury opens the door for Storm winger Xavier Coates, fresh from his double on Sunday, to replace him on the wing.

🏉 There are just four teams left standing in Super Rugby Pacific 2023 after a pulsating weekend of quarter-final action.
The top-ranked team, the Chiefs, beat the Queensland Reds 29-20 to book a home semi-final on Saturday 17 June. The Chiefs will play the ACT Brumbies who beat the Hurricanes 37-33 in Canberra.(watch highlights)

🎾 Novak Djokovic showed his greatness once again by overcoming a sticky start to win a men's record 23rd Grand Slam title with victory over Norway's Casper Ruud in the French Open final.
Djokovic, 36, was far from his best in the initial stages but his quality in a first-set tie-break laid the platform for a 7-6 (7-1) 6-3 7-5 victory.
The Serb moves into the outright lead of men's majors ahead of Rafael Nadal.
He also becomes the first man to win all four majors at least three times.
Victory on the Paris clay moves Djokovic alongside Serena Williams in terms of major titles, with only Margaret Court now standing in front of him on 24 Grand Slams.
He will have the opportunity to tie Court's record at Wimbledon next month - a place where he has already won seven times and be the favourite to equal Roger Federer's record tally of men's titles.
