⚽️ Melbourne City prodigy Jordan Bos was urged to put minutes before money in making the decision to start his European club career in the Belgian Pro League.
As reported on Monday by News Corp Australia, Bos will leave City at the end of the A-League club’s finals campaign to join KVC Westerlo for a transfer fee worth close to $2 million.
It’s a record fee for the transfer of an A-League player, surpassing the $1.4 million Manchester City paid Melbourne City for Aaron Mooy in 2006.
The @NRL has released an updated explainer video of what is and what isn’t a ‘hip drop’ tackle. I think it’s worth watching for all rugby league fans because it’s quite clear and instructive.

🏉 Footy fans will find out in the “next couple of weeks” whether or not the 2024 season will kick-off in Las Vegas, with NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo confident the game has learnt from previous experiences, when potential games in America have fallen through.
🇦🇺 Port Adelaide's Ollie Lord has signed a new one-year deal with the club, extending his time at Port until at least the end of 2024.
The 21-year-old made his AFL debut in Round 6 this season, having now played three games for the Power after recording 35 in the SANFL.
🏉 The Roosters have reportedly informed assistant Jason Ryles he can leave his contract early following Anthony Griffin’s Dragons exit.

⛳️ USPGA PREVIEW
The 2023 US PGA Championship returns to the East Course at Oak Hill Country Club in New York, as Major Championship golf returns this May.
Freshly renovated by Andrew Green, Oak Hill will welcome the strongest field in Major Championship golf. Last seen in 2013 when Jason Dufner defeated Jim Furyk by 2 strokes and Henrik Stenson by 3, the East Course is set to be a great PGA Championship venue.
The US PGA Championship has moved around a bit in the calendar over the last few years, but a previous win earlier in the season has been a powerful pointer historically, with as many as 18 of the last 23 winners having already won an event prior to their success in the US PGA Championship.
📈 As many as 20 of the last 30 (67%) major championships have gone to a first-time major winner.
The Market & Picks:
J. Rahm (8.0) - looking to go back-to-back and become the first Spaniard to win the USPGA.
S. Scheffler (9.0) - In form and always a danger. Nice warm-up last week. (pick)
R. McIlroy (13.0) - missed cuts at the Players Championship and the US Masters.
Tony Finau (26.0) ticks plenty of boxes, and I was happy to chance him—bang in form after his victory at the Mexico Open. (pick)
X. Shaufflele (21.0) - previous top 10 and looked good recently. Time to get that Dub. (pick)
Seamus Power (126.0) - previous top 10 and top 20 last week. (pick)
Harris English (151.0) - Two of his last five strokeplay events have resulted in top-three finishes at Quail Hollow and Bayhill. (pick)
🏏 Fast bowler Jofra Archer has been ruled out for the summer but Jonny Bairstow has returned to the England Test squad as wicketkeeper in place of Ben Foakes.
Bairstow, who has not played for England since breaking his leg in August, will take the gloves against Ireland on 1 June.
Fast bowler Archer has a recurrence of the stress fracture in his right elbow.
James Anderson is named in the 15-man squad despite suffering a groin injury whilst playing for Lancashire.
The first five weeks of the ongoing 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season racked up more than 1,300 crore (13 billion) video views on JioCinema.
🏏 The 'soft signal' given by on-field umpires when referring a catch will be scrapped this summer.
Umpires currently give an initial decision, usually when judging whether the ball has carried to a fielder, before the third umpire makes a final call from television replays.
The change will come in for England's Test against Ireland on 1 June.

👊🏻 Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has signed a deal with the Professional Fighters League.
Cameroon's Ngannou, 36, has been a free agent since leaving the UFC in January after the two parties failed to agree on a new contract.
