🏏 Australia won the five-match T20 series against Sri Lanka in straight sets, storming home to a big six-wicket win in Canberra.

Aaron Finch's men accounted for the visitors' 6-121 with six wickets in hand and 4.1 overs remaining, following a 20-run win at the SCG and a super over victory in Sydney.

Finch (35 runs) and Glenn Maxwell (39) drove Australia's comfortable chase and Josh made an important 21 not out as Australia cruised home.

The win marked Australia's seventh consecutive triumph in T20 cricket – a streak that includes November's World Cup final triumph.

🇦🇺 The AFL has reported a 2021 operating loss of $43 million, while also revealing to clubs it spent an additional $76 million in the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

While six players earned $1 million or more, during the 2021 AFL season.

The confirmed breakdown of AFL player wages shows that three players earned more than $1.2 million, with AFL Media reporting the trio as Richmond’s Dustin Martin, Sydney’s Lance Franklin, and West Coast’s Jeremy McGovern.

All three battled injury issues during the season with Franklin, surprisingly given his age and recent injury history, playing the most games with 18. (Fox)
