๐ I don't have a chance
G'day sports fans,
โI love wearing the baggy green cap, and Iโll keep tryingโ - Mitch Marsh (2019)

๐ An innings for the ages by Mitchell Marsh, at a point in his career when he might have conceivably believed his time as a Test player was done, has kept Australia in the third Ashes contest after England launched a fast-bowling blitz on the liveliest pitch of the series.
Marsh's bludgeoning 118 at a run-a-ball came with his team on the ropes and against the run of play, and enabled them to post a competitive total of 263 after being sent in despite a spectacular lower-order collapse in the face of Mark Wood's exhilarating pace.

๐ Andrew Johns has put the pressure on Sharks star Nicho Hynes to turn up in big games after a dazzling display against the lowly Wests Tigers.
Hynes was at his destructive best against the Tigers, racking up a try, three try assists and four goals in the Sharks' 36-12 win at CommBank Stadium.
The win put the Sharks equal on points with the Panthers in top spot, but Johns wanted to see both Hynes and his side do it against a big team, with the Sharks having beaten just one top-eight opponent so far this season.
๐ฆ๐บ Richmond are set to lose co-captain Toby Nankervis to suspension after boosting their AFL finals hopes with a nail-biting 13-point win over Sydney.
Jack Graham kicked two crucial final-quarter goals as the Tigers posted a 12.16 (88) to 11.9 (75) victory at the MCG to move within touching distance of the top eight.

๐ฆ๐บ Richmond youngster Jacob Bauer has broken an unwanted record for the fastest substitution in AFL history. His debut soon turned into a disaster when he tweaked his left hamstring while delivering a kick inside 50 to Dion Prestia.
Bauer immediately grabbed at his leg and was limping just 78 seconds into the game.
๐ Billy Slater has hinted that he may not return as head coach in 2024.
Slater revealed that he will make a decision on his future as head coach for the Maroons after the State of Origin series ends, saying there is no time frame for his decision.
"I've got a lot on so I'll sit down with Ben Ikin, the right people and my family. It takes up a fair bit of time, even before the Origin series."
