🥇 The World Dwarf Games is underway, it is the largest international sporting event exclusively for athletes with dwarfism, and like the Olympics and Paralympics, it is held every four years.

There are 40 Australian competitors taking part in the games, along with more than 500 athletes from 20 countries.

Events include archery and crossbow, badminton, boccia, powerlifting, swimming, track and field, table tennis and volleyball, with some sports modified to accommodate impairments.

🇦🇺 Hawthorn ruckman Max Lynch is retiring from the AFL, aged 24, due to ongoing concussion issues.

An independent medical panel has ruled Lynch should stop playing contact sport permanently.

The former Collingwood big man was added to the club's long-term injury list in May after he was subbed out of a game against Adelaide with concussion.
