Maestro Moses and rampaging RCG guide Eels home over Wests Tigers

With key playmaker Mitch Moses back from injury and another five-star effort from Reagan Campbell-Gillard, the Eels have rebounded with a 26-16 win over Wests Tigers.

Wests Tigers player Michael Chee Kam was taken to hospital after reportedly suffering a seizure on field, it has since been reported he's o.k. (NRL)

Sonny Bill to take youngster's spot on Roosters' roster 

The Sydney Roosters will create room in their NRL roster for Sonny Bill Williams by releasing youngster Asu Kepaoa. The Wolfpack have reportedly temporarily released Williams from his $10million dollar contract, freeing up the former All Black for a return to the NRL. (rugbypass)

The Western Bulldogs have leapt up to third on the AFL ladder after edging past Gold Coast

The match was an arm-wrestle all night, with the Bulldogs leading by two points at quarter, half and three-quarter time, before winning 7.9 (51) to 6.10 (46). (AFL)

Round 8 Previews:

GWS Giants vs Richmond: There’s plenty of footy left to play, but this does feel like a must-win game for GWS if they hold any hopes of playing finals. 

North Melbourne vs Carlton: After starting the year 2-0, the Roos have now slipped all the way down to 17th on the ladder after losing five of their six games since the restart. 

Sydney Swans vs Hawthorn: Hawthorn has suffered at the hands of GWS, Collingwood and Melbourne since moving to the Sydney hub, but they should feel good about their chances this week against an injury riddled Swans side riding a four-game losing streak. 

Adelaide Crows vs Essendon: The Bombers have the perfect opportunity to bounce back on Sunday afternoon following their 42-point defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs last week. Essendon now hits the road to face the Crows in Adelaide with a chance to not only rejoin the eight.

West Coast Eagles vs Collingwood: Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley will be hoping his side can pick up where they left off last week. The Eagles have now won three in a row to sneak back into the eight, while a victory on Sunday could see them move as high as fifth if results go their way. 

Melbourne vs Brisbane Lions: The Lions have a tremendous opportunity to further cement their top-four position this week at Metricon, but they’ll need to be wary of a Demons side that has relished playing the underdog role of late.

King George: Enable faces three Ascot rivals trained by Aidan O'Brien

Date: Sunday 26 July Time: 12:35am AEST Venue: Ascot

Enable ($1.50) will face just three rivals as she bids for a record third victory in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.

It is the smallest field since 1964 for a contest traditionally considered a summer highlight of British racing.

After 12 successive wins, Enable was runner-up in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October when seeking a record third triumph in that race and has been kept in training at the age of six for another attempt at the French showpiece.

Gosden has admitted she was not 100% fit when returning at Sandown last month, finishing second to Ghaiyyath in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes.

Liverpool lift Premier League trophy: Goals galore, explosions and a red sky

Liverpool lifted the Premier League trophy for the first time amid fireworks in a special ceremony on the Kop at Anfield, following their thrilling 5-3 win over Chelsea.

The champions' captain Jordan Henderson was handed the silverware by Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish as the Reds celebrated their first English title in 30 years in style, despite no fans being allowed in the stadium.

They can now boast to be English, European and World Champions.

Central Coast Mariners v Newcastle Jets: (match preview) The Mariners will be out to secure bragging rights after registering one loss and draw in the previous two meetings between the sides throughout the 2019/20 Hyundai A-League season.

Wellington Phoenix v Adelaide United: Now in the Sydney hub, the Reds need to build on a rusty effort first up and they do have a shot against a Wellington side playing their third match in seven days.

Melbourne Victory v Western United: Mark Rudan’s side have enjoyed plenty of success over their big brothers in their debut season, winning both matches. Before the shutdown Western United had found their scoring touch with 11 goals in their last two matches.
