π¦πΊ Gary Rohan helped reignite Geelongβs AFL premiership defence with three goals in a gritty 15-point win over Melbourne after accidentally knocking out teammate Jeremy Cameron, who was stretchered off. Final: 11.12 (78) to 8.15 (63).
It took almost 10 minutes to treat Cameron and prepare him to be carted off the ground with Geelong later reporting that Cameron was responsive, in good spirits and taken to hospital for further assessment.
π New South Wales beat Queensland 18-14 in State of Origin II but the Maroons claimed the inaugural women's series on aggregate. (First game ended 18-10 Maroons).

A total of 10 Chinese players were given suspensions this month for their parts in match-fixing.
π΄π» Tadej Pogacar remains confident about his fitness before next month's Tour de France following a wrist injury that has kept him out of competition for almost two months as he returns to action.
Pogacar, 24, earned an impressive run of victories at the Tour of Flanders, Amstel Gold Race and La Fleche Wallonne and was the overwhelming favourite to win Liege-Bastogne-Liege in April but crashed out of that race and fractured his wrist.
π₯ The International Boxing Association's (IBA) recognition as the global body for the sport was stripped on Thursday by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which ratified an executive board recommendation.
The IOC had previously suspended the IBA in 2019 over governance, finance, refereeing and ethical issues and did not involve it in running the boxing events at the Tokyo Olympics.
