New Zealand 219-7 (20 overs): Guptill 97 (50)
Australia 215-8 (20 overs): Stoinis 78 (37), Santner 4-31
New Zealand won by four runs
Martin Guptill fell three runs short of a third Twenty20 international century as he helped New Zealand to a thrilling four-run win over Australia in Dunedin.
The opener smashed eight sixes and six fours on his way to 97 off 50 balls as the hosts posted 219-7.
Australia were chasing the Black Capsβ 219 and looked dead and buried when they fell to 6-113 after 13 overs.
But then Marcus Stoinis (78 off 37) and Daniel Sams (41 off 15) combined for a record seventh-wicket T20I partnership.
They got Australia to within 15 runs of victory off the final over but those two were dismissed, and the Aussies fell five runs short of an epic comeback victory.
Victory gave New Zealand a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
Sheffield Shield
Victoria stumble on rain-affected first day: NSW quick Harry Conway has taken 3-31 to leave Victoria 7-168 at stumps on day one of their Marsh Sheffield Shield match at Bankstown Oval.
South Australia captain Travis Head hit a brilliant and unbeaten 189 while young opener Henry Hunt added 109 as the Redbacks dominated day one at the WACA.
International
India beat England inside two days, in a remarkable Test Match in Ahmedabad.
Ravichandran Ashwin reached 400 Test wickets - 2nd fastest (77 Tests); behind Muttiah Muralitharan (72 Tests).
England players fell short of 200 runs with the bat over their two innings. Bowled out for 122 & 81 (including extras).
The second innings was 'rabbits in the headlights' stuff.
India chased 49 for victory without a loss of a wicket.
India lead the four-match series 2-1

A-League Fixtures
Tonight: Perth Glory v Brisbane Roar: Itβs a clash between the team that canβt keep a clean sheet and the side that is experiencing nothing but. Perth's game seeing both teams score every time. Brisbane haven't scored in three.
Saturday: Western Sydney Wanderers v Adelaide United: Adelaideβs backline is still far too leaky to have too much confidence in them here and the Wanderers should be able to find a way through.
Melbourne Victory v Western United: It turns out when you have your big name imports fit and firing, it makes a huge difference to the outcome of your matches, just ask Melbourne Victory. However, Western Uniteda are flying after putting four past Macarthur FC.

Sunday: Sydney FC v Macarthur FC: The last time Sydney dropped points in back to back games this season, they broke their streak with a convincing 3-0 win over Macarthur.
Newcastle Jets v Wellington Phoenix: Wellington is yet to keep a clean sheet this season which is good news for a Newcastle attack that is looking for some confidence at the moment, and unbeaten in five.

Brisbane can host the 2032 Olympics
Queensland's capital was this week confirmed as the International Olympic Committee's preferred candidate to host the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics, after the executive board approved of the Future Host Summer Commission's findings.
While the host city of the 2032 Games is yet to be revealed, the location could be finalised before this year's postponed Tokyo Olympics.
One of the main reasons is they want cities that already have a lot of infrastructure for sports venues in place. South-east Queensland already has about 80 per cent of the venues required.

Trial by Fire
From the annual Charity Shield clash between the Dragons and Rabbitohs in Mudgee to Queensland heavyweights Brisbane and North Queensland going at it in Redcliffe, there's plenty of intriguing storylines and a number of high-profile players stepping into the spotlight for the first time in 2021.
Players who turned out in fewer than 12 games last season got their chance to impress in recent weeks but now it's time for coaches to take a look at their best combinations and unleash their stars.

π¦πΊ Super Rugby AU - MW2
Reds (1.14) v Rebels (5.50): Apart from the first 5 minutes, The Reds were perfect last weekend. This will be the first time we see the Rebels this year and while their squad is certainly good enough for a top three finish in Super Rugby AU once again, itβs hard to see them having the cohesion to hit the ground running.
Brumbies (1.14) v Waratahs (5.0): The Waratahs rough landing in 2021 continues as they now travel to Canberra to face the defending champion Brumbies. The Brumbies were clinical against the Force and as long as they can keep 15 men on the pitch they will have no trouble coming away with a win here.
π³πΏ Super Rugby Aotearoa - MW1
Highlanders (3.0) v Crusaders (1.36): The Crusaders have won nine of their last 10 completed Super Rugby matches against the Highlanders (L1), including their last six in succession. Most recent fixture a 40-20 win.
Hurricanes (2.0) v Blues (1.80): The Blues have won nine of their last 11 completed Super Rugby matches (L2); the Hurricanes one of the two sides to hand them a defeat in that stretch (also Crusaders).
π· Six Nations: Scotland v France is postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak in the France squad (11 cases).

Tiger Woods 'lucky to be alive' after crash
Latest updates, details as golf star recovers from car accident.
Woods' official Twitter account released an update on his status early Wednesday morning, saying he suffered multiple fractures to his upper and lower fibula and tibia, which required stabilization with a rod inserted into the former.
Additional injuries in his foot and ankle were stabilized with screws and pins.
The release said Woods was alert, awake and resting in his hospital room following surgery.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva says that Woods was not impaired when the accident took place, and that no charges will be filed in the accident.

Luka Doncic hit a three-pointer with 0.1 seconds remaining to earn a 110-107 win for the Dallas Mavericks over the Boston Celtics.
