π On Saturday afternoon, Geelong meets Sydney in the 2022 Grand Final at the MCG. This will mark the first decider played between these clubs in V/AFL history, although it wonβt be the first time history has been made in a matchup between them this season.
Their solitary encounter came in Round 2 and saw Lance Franklin become just the sixth man to kick 1,000 goals, putting through four en route to a 107-77 Swans victory at the SCG.
Isaac Heeney was also influential during that fixture, kicking five goals from 21 disposals. That result marked both the Catsβ largest losing margin and highest score conceded this season.
Geelong has now won 15 straight while Sydney is undefeated in nine, indicating it could be a Grand Final for the ages.

North Queensland will be playing a finals match at Queensland Country Bank Stadium for the first time since it was opened in 2020, and should be refreshed from the week off they earned by beating the Sharks in golden point back in Finals Week 1.
North Queensland has covered the line in seven of its last eight home matches against Parramatta.
Kyle Feldt has scored at least one try in six of his last seven appearances against Parramatta.
π Panthers v Rabbitohs: May suspended; Havili sidelined (match preview)
After a long season, Penrith and South Sydney now find themselves just 80 minutes away from a Grand Final appearance as the two sides prepare to face off in Saturday's Preliminary Final.
The minor premiers and defending champions, Penrith will come into the contest well rested and ready for the clash, having enjoyed a week off after downing Parramatta in their Qualifying Final a fortnight ago.

Stephen Crichton has scored a try in each of Penrith's last six matches against South Sydney.

β½οΈ 100 years after losing to New Zealand in the first-ever Australian international menβs match, the Socceroos claimed revenge - and extended a two-decade unbeaten Trans-Tasman streak β with a scrappy 1-0 win in Brisbane.
