Bradman scored 232 in the last (Fifth) Test Match a the Oval against England. He had scored a total 974 runs in the seven innings of the five Test Matches played against England in 1930, which was a record total score. This headline appeared after he was caught out after making 232 runs.

SEVEN Aussie winners on day two

Australia has achieved its greatest first-round result in almost 30 years, with 12 locals winning on the opening two days of the 2021 Australian Open.

Daria Gavrilovaโ€™s straight sets win over Sara Sorribes Tormo in the final match of the first round made it seven Aussie winners on Tuesday, led by top singles hopes Ash Barty and Alex de Minaur.

Thanasi Kokkinakis (Wild Card) and Sam Stosur both won their first singles wins at Melbourne Park since 2015 - while Chris Oโ€™Connell and Alexei Popyrin (who beat 13th seed David Goffin in five sets), won through.

Roger Federer even slipped into Thanasi Kokkinakis' DMs to congratulate him on his win.

Thanasi knows a bargain when he sees one, telling the reporter - โ€œMate, Kmart special. I went to Chadstone, bought some $6 tees and went to work. I just felt comfortable in it.

๐Ÿฅฏ๐Ÿฅฏ Ash Barty put on a 44-minute clinic in her demolition of Danka Koviniฤ‡ (6-0, 6-0).

With the five that progressed on Monday, itโ€™s the best local result since 1992.

The only downside was, Jordan Thompson's campaign was cut short after he retired hurt with a neck injury in the third set against Norway's Casper Ruud. He was down 6-3, 6-3, 2-1 at the time.

โšฝ๏ธ Tonight: Closing out match week 7: Western Sydney Wanderers (2.10) v Melbourne Victory (3.20): Last season the Victory were beaten by the Wanderers in both meetings by the score of 2-1.

Western Sydney is still yet to really put it all together this year however they are doing a great job at avoiding defeat since their opening match.

Aussie stars to face off in Melbourne double-header

The biggest names in Australian cricket will go head-to-head at Junction Oval twice this week in two of the most anticipated domestic 50-over matches in recent memory.

Eleven out of the 16 players who were part of Australiaโ€™s triumphant T20 World Cup campaign last year could take the field when Victoria host New South Wales on Wednesday and Friday, with star allrounder Ellyse Perry to take on the Breakers for the first time since switching states in 2019.

LeBron James scored 28 points in a stellar display to help the Los Angeles Lakers to a 119-112 overtime win against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
