🗞 Hey Jude (Club edition)

Hi all,

As mentioned in the regular newsletter, I'm away for the next week or so.

I promised my wife I wouldn't be researching bets or spending to much time on the "stupid boy project," that Sport Journal and this members club are apparently.

Just a quick note to send on the latest update from Liam on the colt we'll have a share in.

🐴 Update

⛳️ Golf

It's fair to say our first foray into Golf, could not have gone worse as Paul Casey's putter went stone-cold, along with our hopes, as he missed the weekend.

This week on there's the WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational, the PGA Barracuda, and the Hero Open in England.

I was just going to put up Patrick Cantlay in the WGC, however with the other tournaments are on at better TV viewing times.

I thought we could take a moon shot and do a tiny each way trebles across them all.

Picked out:

WGC: Patrick Cantlay (21.0) as mentioned. 5 top 20 finishes in his 6 starts and ranks 2nd overall on PGA. Added Jon Rahm (11.0) with him, new world number one and will be keen to dominate, with the USPGA coming up.

PGA Barracuda: Sam Burns (26.0) is a player I've really been keeping my eye on, has been slowly moving himself into position for a win. And Alex Noren (21.0), multiple winner on the European Tour, went quiet last season but I noticed that putting working last week.

Hero Open: Jordan Smith (34.0) is a player I couldn't stop myself backing last year to no avail but no damage done as he is very consistent. He has what it takes, hopefully he can put it together. And Thomas Detry (19.0), again he hasn't won in the past but is ultra consistent.

As I mentioned in the previous mail, these are kind of jackpot hunting bets (completely different to my usual, slow and steady) but we're looking for entertainment and a chance to land a fat one! ($1ew trebles pays $15,000) 🤣

🏉 NRL

Only Addo-Carr delivered in the multi last weekend.

I've used the same thinking this weekend (never learn), picking strike players from the heavy favourites. Pays (300.0 ish)

Personally, I have never been able to make consistent profit on AFL, not sure what kind of multi would suit us best? (a straight win multi wouldn't give us the returns we're hoping for, for our small stake).

📧 Reply to this if you have managed to make consistent profit on the footy over the years.

Cheers,

Adam.
