👋🏼 Manchester United have sacked manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following 0 4-1 defeat at Watford.

The club have won just one of their past seven Premier League matches and are seventh in the table, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.

First-team coach Michael Carrick has been placed in temporary charge while United seek an interim manager to the end of the season.

"It is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision," United said.

Apparently Mauricio Pochettino is Manchester United’s No 1 choice to take over as manager next summer.

🥊 Terence Crawford stopped Shawn Porter in the 10th round by technical knockout Saturday night in one of the most anticipated bouts of the year.

Crawford (38-0) retained his WBO welterweight title and extended his streak of KOs or TKOs to nine in front of a sold-out crowd of 11,568 at Mandalay Bay.

🎾 Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai said she was safe and well in a video call on Sunday, the International Olympic Committee says.

In a statement, the IOC said its President Thomas Bach had spoken to Ms Peng for 30 minutes.

"[She] was doing fine, which was our main concern," the statement read.

⛳️ Tiger Woods says he is "making progress" after sharing the first footage of him playing golf since he was seriously injured in a car accident in February. 

The 15-time major champion took to Twitter to update fans on his recovery. 

Woods' car left the road at about 84-87mph and flipped several times during the accident in California.

He required surgery on open fractures to his lower right leg and sustained further injuries to his foot and ankle.

🏉 Ireland cruised past an ill-disciplined Argentina (53-7) to claim their eighth straight win and secure a clean sweep in the autumn Tests.

🏆 Alexander Zverev outplayed Daniil Medvedev in a dominant display in Turin to win his second ATP Finals title.

The German world number three, who had lost to the Russian second seed in the group stage, turned the tables to win 6-4 6-4.

Zverev, the 2018 champion, did not face a single break point in a serving masterclass. 

🏆 Collin Morikawa birdied five of the last seven holes to win the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai on 17 under par and clinch the European Tour's season-long Race to Dubai title.

Morikawa becomes the first American to win the European Tour's money list.
