🇦🇺 Melbourne remains hopeful Angus Brayshaw will feature later in its finals campaign but is prioritising the midfielder's health over his return to football.

Brayshaw will miss Friday night's semi-final against Carlton at the MCG after he was knocked out in a botched smothering attempt by Collingwood's Brayden Maynard.

But teammate Christian Petracca said Brayshaw is “not going great” and is nursing a sore neck from Maynard’s impact.

🇦🇺 Port Adelaide star Zak Butters has been fined twice by the Match Review Officer but will be free to play in the Power's semi-final against Greater Western Sydney on Saturday night.

Butters has been cited for striking and rough conduct on Brisbane veteran Dayne Zorko during their qualifying final at the Gabba and been fined a total of $6000, which can be reduced to $4000 with an early guilty plea.

👊🏻 Conor McGregor has boldly declared Alexander Volkanovski would be “quick work” for him as the Australian featherweight champion confirmed plans for his next title defence.

Volkanovski will have a keen eye on UFC 294 as Islam Makhachev defends his lightweight belt against Charles Oliviera, with the Australian targeting a rematch of his own in the near future.
