Fifth T20I brought forward to allow team to fly back

Cricket Australia will bring their T20 side home from New Zealand on a charter flight to avoid players quarantining for a second time in a month. (ABC)

Key points:

  • Auckland has been declared a COVID-19 "red zone" by Australia, which would mean the tourists would have to quarantine at home if they set foot in the city.

  • To "allow the Australia squad to catch a charter flight home immediately after the game". The order of Sunday’s T20I double-header in Wellington has been reversed, with the Black Caps now playing Australia in the early game, and the White Ferns and England squaring off later in the afternoon.

🏏 Redbacks lose Marsh Cup run fest after four run outs: South Australia were seemingly cruising to victory before losing 9-76 in a high-scoring game that included four individual centuries.

An epic South Australia batting collapse ensured Cameron Green's maiden Marsh One-Day Cup century was enough to clinch victory for Western Australia in an entertaining WACA Ground run-fest on Tuesday. (match report)

Match report: WA 5-369 - SA 356 all out - Western Australia won by 13 runs.

🏏 WNCL: Queensland pair make history in record run fest: Beth Mooney's 163 and Georgia Redmayne's 121 guide Queensland to a record total in the domestic 50-over competition (368). (match report)

🚨 Police raided FC Barcelona's headquarters on Monday, seizing evidence about the club's social media scandal and arresting four people.

Josep Maria Bartomeu (former president), Oscar Grau (CEO)Roman and two others.

It's been a year since Barça was alleged to have hired an external marketing company to smear former and current players, including Lionel Messi, on social media.

πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί AFL

🏟 The Round One fixture is locked in, with AFL boss Gillon McLachlan confirming the Essendon-Hawthorn match would remain at Marvel Stadium and not be moved to the MCG.

Following last week's announcement crowd capacity in Melbourne would begin the season at 50 per cent, speculation arose about a possible venue switch to maximise numbers.

πŸƒπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨ Saad can exploit polarising rule change: Adam Saad is one of the quickest players in the AFL and gives Carlton a lethal weapon to exploit players on the mark.

The new rule has been on show early in a number of scratch matches, and has been polarising due to any movement from the player on the mark resulting in a 50m penalty. (nine)

πŸ™ Former Captain Michael Hooper says it's tough to see 'Tahs struggle: "It's very tough. I love the club, love the Waratahs, love a lot of the guys in there, so I know they'll be doing it tough," Hooper said.

"But here are some really good eggs in there who will be doing everything they can to swing that around."

The Waratahs have lost more than 1800 caps of Super experience over the past two years following a mass player exodus. (Rugby)

πŸ‰ Todd Payten wishes Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was staying in the NRL but knows the Warriors fullback well enough to be certain he'll be an immediate option for the All Blacks.

"I know Roger and the type of guy and professional he is, I expect him to transition straight to that All Black team and really light the game up."

The FDA authorized a device called the "Q-Collar" that may help reduce the risk of traumatic brain injuries "associated with repetitive sub-concussive head impacts" sustained during sports.

The C-shaped device, called the Q-Collar, fits around the back and side of the neck. It works by clamping down on blood vessels in the neck, which increases blood volume in the skull.

This limits the movement of the brain inside the skull, which researchers believe generally causes traumatic brain injury.
