🏏 Sherfane Rutherford and Andre Russell are officially world record holders, hitting 139 runs together to secure the highest ever T20I sixth wicket partnership.
The duo helped the West Indies defeat Australia by 37 runs, scoring their first win of the series.
Russell's 71 off 29 balls was his highest ever score in the format alongside Rutherford, who had his best result in only his 12th match.
🏊🏼 James Magnussen (AUS), a two-time world champion in the 100m freestyle, made global headlines this week after declaring he would compete for a A$1.5 million prize if he is able to break the 50m world record on steroids.
The mooted Enhanced Games steroid-taking competition, first announced in June 2023, were founded by Australian Aron D’Souza and backed by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, and will actively encourage athletes to take performance enhancing drugs.
The competition will feature five events - swimming, gymnastics, weightlifting, track and field, and combat - and will be held once a year.
🏏 David Warner has confirmed he's played his last international match in Australia after he was player of the series against the West Indies.
The legendary opener officially retired from Test and ODI cricket in January but there was still uncertainty around his T20I future.
Now it's been confirmed, with the 37-year-old stating post-match his last series will be the T20 World Cup, if selected.
"We've got extreme talent here, a lot of the guys from Perth are in the team at the moment. We're in good stead for the future."
Pressed by Adam Gilchrist if that's confirmation he's officially farewelled Australia, Warner was direct. "Indeed, yes."

Video of the two Broncos stars wrestling aggressively with each other circulated on social media on Monday, leaving the club to explain what had happened three weeks out from the season opener.

🏀 Victor Wembanyama posted a remarkable triple-double of 27 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Toronto Raptors 122-99.
The 20-year-old rookie had the most blocks by any NBA player since Clint Capela in January 2021.
Wembanyama is just the fifth player in NBA history with at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks in a game.
🎱 A newly-created Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters will offer a AU$3.9m prize fund and become the sport's 'fourth major', the World Snooker Tour has announced.
The world's best players will travel to Riyadh at the end of August for the inaugural tournament.
