🏏 Wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade has announced his retirement from international cricket.

The 36-year-old will immediately take up a coaching role with the Australia men's team and will be involved in their T20 international series against Pakistan next month.

Wade is set to continue to play in the Big Bash for Hobart Hurricanes and in various T20 global franchise tournaments.

He made 225 international appearances for Australia in all formats - the last of which came in the Super 8s phase of this year's T20 World Cup against India.

🏃🏾‍♂️ Australian teen sprinting sensation Gout Gout has joined some of sport’s elite by signing a new deal with one of the biggest sporting brands in the world.

🏟️ The ARLC is reportedly preparing a proposal to revamp the Western Australian NRL franchise, having previously rejected the Perth Bears consortium’s bid.

That is according to The Daily Telegraph, who are reporting the proposal will be taken to clubs in the next two weeks, eyeing an announcement of a new franchise next month.

The NRL has been busy planning their own team’s inception in Perth, holding discussions with the Western Australian government.

Should rival clubs give their tick of approval for the franchise to be welcomed into the NRL, the Perth team could become the 18th side.

The 19th team would then likely be a Papua new Guinea’s bid.
