🐴 dtychmi: (don’t think you could have missed it): Knight's Choice stunned the racing world to take out the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
The John Symons and Sheila Laxon-trained runner saluted in the $8.5 million feature at Flemington with jockey Robbie Dolan in the saddle.
The five-year-old gelding paid $81 fixed odds with TAB.
"Pinch me, I'm dreaming," Dolan told Nine's Billy Slater post-race.
Pre-race favourite Buckaroo was shuffled too far back in the field to make a splash late, while highly-fancied overseas raider Vauban failed to fire for a second-straight Cup.
🤢 Makes you sick: One punter scored a $728,000 win after mystery first four bet was placed from a $24 wager.
TAB also paid out $81,000 to one winner after placing a $1000 bet on the horse at $81.
🏉 Morgan Turinui is tipping Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii to make a stunning Test debut for the Wallabies against England on Sunday (AEDT).
"The Wallabies staff, players, everyone around the environment has been super impressed - attitudinally and athletically, of course, with Joseph, straight away in training..."Possibly off the bench is the most easy way to do it."

🗣️ Clint Gutherson's talks with the Dragons are not going as smoothly as the star expected, with his camp frustrated with the pace of negotiations, reports 9News' Danny Weidler.
The Parramatta Eels granted Gutherson an immediate release from the final year of his contract, to allow him to link with the Dragons, who had expressed strong interest in the fullback.
Negotiations between club and player got serious just hours after the club parted ways with Ben Hunt.
Gutherson, who was on a deal of about $900,000-a-season at Parramatta and was expected to land at the Dragons on a similar contract, was reportedly on the verge of inking a three-year deal with the club but that has stalled.
⏰ Brandon Smith’s time at the Roosters could be coming to an end, with Tricolours powerbrokers reportedly unlikely to extend his stay beyond 2025.
That is according to the SMH’s Michael Chammas, who revealed the club could “move in a different direction” ahead of the 2026 season.
The Roosters have already lost the likes of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Luke Keary, Joseph Suaalii and Joseph Manu ahead of the 2025 season.
