β€οΈ The rugby league community is mourning the loss of a βbeautiful soulβ after Liam Hampson died while on an end-of-season trip in Spain.
Concerns were first raised for the 24-year-old when other players in the group posted on social media that he had not been seen for 24 hours after last being spotted at the Sala Apollo nightclub.
Barcelona police confirmed to 7 News on Thursday morning AEDT that a body believed to be that of Hampson was found on a nightclub floor after a fall from a substantial height.
π The NRL is reportedly set to take the Origin series opener to Adelaide as Billy Slaterβs Maroons look to defend their title.
According to The Daily Telegraph, NRL bosses have reportedly scheduled Adelaide Oval as the host of the first game on Wednesday, May 31.

π Sri Lanka and the Netherlands both progressed to the Super 12 stage of the Men's T20 World Cup following a thrilling conclusion to Group A.
They finished first and second in the group respectively to qualify for the next stage of games, starting on 22 October.
