🏉 The NRL will get its dream opening with Nathan Cleary on track to overcome a shoulder injury and set up a headline round-one clash with Daly Cherry-Evans.

Cleary will miss Saturday night's trial against Parramatta as he continues his rehabilitation after undergoing surgery following Penrith's premiership win.

❤️ Former Australia wicketkeeper Rod Marsh is in critical condition after suffering a heart attack. 

The 74-year-old effected 355 dismissals in 96 Test appearances for Australia.

🙏🏼 Nick Kyrgios has told people "you are not alone" after discussing his struggles with depression and self-harming in an emotional Instagram post. (Fox)

🏉 The RA Board has approved the amended policy which will allow three players to be chosen from overseas per tournament, series, or competition. 

For that player to be eligible for selection, they must have a minimum of 30 Test caps or have completed a minimum of five years’ service to Australian Rugby.

“These amendments reflect a fit-for-purpose policy which will help our national teams compete at their best on the international stage across both the XVs and 7s games.

Tuigamala represented both New Zealand and Samoan in rugby union as well as the Samoan rugby league team in an international career that spanned 1989 to 2001. He also enjoyed famous club careers in both codes.

⛳️ Brooks Koepka thinks "somebody will sell out" to leave the PGA Tour and join a controversial Saudi Arabian-backed breakaway league.

🎾 Novak Djokovic lost his Dubai quarter-final and his world number one ranking in one go on Thursday as he suffered a 6-4, 7-6 (7/4) upset at the hands of Czech world number 123 Jiri Vesely.

Djokovic needed to at least reach the semi-finals in the Emirates to try and stop Daniil Medvedev from replacing him at the top of the rankings.
