πΎ NOVAX Djokovic's hopes of winning his 10th Australian Open β and record 21st major singles title β were all but dashed when he was denied entrance into Australia.
Tennis Australia said Djokovic's request for an exemption "was granted following a rigorous review process involving two separate independent panels of medical experts."
But Australian Border Force rejected his visa when he landed at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport, saying he "failed to provide appropriate evidence to meet the entry requirements."
Novak Djokovicβs family has rallied in Serbia saying he is being held in inhumane conditions and being treated like a prisoner.
Star trapped in 'hotel for immigrants, full of fleas and horrid food',- says Novac's mother
Update: Novak Djokovic has appealed visa cancellation to play at the Australian Open. To be heard on Monday.
