🇦🇺St Kilda has axed head coach Brett Ratten.
The Age has reported following the Saints' review of their football operations.
The bombshell has landed just three months after Ratten inked a two-year extension with St Kilda, contracting him to the Saints until the end of 2024.
In 2022, St Kilda won eight of its first 11 games and sat fourth on the ladder after round 11, but managed just three victories from its last 11 matches en route to finishing in 10th.
The embattled club was then unsuccessful in its pursuit of securing gun Collingwood forward Jordan De Goey during the trade period. (7news).

"After careful consideration, the board of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles has today unanimously decided that, in the best interests of the club, Des Hasler will not be the head coach of the club for NRL season 2023,'' Manly chairman Scott Penn said in the statement.
