🏉 South Sydney coach Jason Demetriou's time at the club could be at the end of its tether after a poor start to the season.
According to 9News and Sydney Morning Herald reporter Michael Chammas, the club has called for an internal review of its football operations under Demetriou after the Rabbitohs' round-six fixture against the Sharks.
From bad to worse; Latrell Mitchell is facing a ban of up to four games.
A day after coach Jason Demetriou labelled Mitchell's behaviour in two match incidents as "stupid", the fullback was charged with grade-two dangerous contact for his forearm to Shaun Johnson's face.
Mitchell’s judiciary record means that even with an early guilty plea he will miss three matches.

🏑 The Kookaburras came from behind for a second consecutive win against India in a two point sweep of game two in the Perth International Hockey Festival, trumping India 4-2.
In a scorching 38 degrees the Aussies needed to dig deep, from 2-1 down, and Jeremy Hayward came out firing, slamming an equaliser into the back of the net for a second goal for himself and the Kookaburras.
Matt Dawson, on his 200th Kookaburras appearance, threaded the needle for Jacob Anderson to convert their third goal.
Nathan Ephraums shocked the field assisted by Jacob Whetten, who set up a quick shot for him, flinging it straight through the air to put them up 4-2 at the final break.

🚗 👊🏻 Former NRL hardman John Hopoate has been caught up in a road rage incident on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The infamous 50-year-old, who is credited with being the most suspended player of the NRL era, became involved in an incident in Narraweena with another man. (Instagram)
The 38-year-old man involved reported the incident to police, which resulted in a $500 infringement notice to both parties for offensive behaviour.

The Commonwealth Games marathon gold medallist, a mother-of-two after giving birth to her daughter on September 14, clocked 2:23:59 in South Korea's Daegu Marathon on Sunday.
The 36-year-old smashed the 2:26:50 Olympic entry standard and shattered her 2:25:15 personal best, which she had set just under two years after giving birth to her son Billy.

🏃🏻 Ultramarathoner Russ Cook completed his 352-day run from South Africa's Cape Agulhas to Tunisia's Ras Ben Sakka, the African continent's northernmost point. Despite facing health issues, sandstorms, visa problems, and even a robbery, Cook, also known as the "Hardest Geezer," raised over US$872k for charity.
While Guinness World Records didn't certify his attempt, Cook covered more than 10,190 miles, surpassing his initial goal of 9,320 miles and becoming the first to run Africa's length.

🐴 Frankie Dettori rode six consecutive winners at Santa Anita in California on Saturday evening.
The victories came at cumulative odds of more than 77,000-1.
Dettori famously rode a 'Magnificent Seven' of all winners on the card at Ascot, UK in September 1996 at odds of over 25,000-1.
"I adore this place and to be able to say that I won six races on Derby day is beyond my wildest dreams," said the 53-year-old Italian.
"I don't know how to put it into words. Is it real? Am I dreaming? Is this really happening? It's incredible. I just don't know what to say."
