๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿฝ An Ankle injury sustained by Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield in a match last Sunday is believed to be worse than first thought. As of Tuesday night, while no final decision had been reached, one scenario had the eight-time All-Australian missing multiple weeks. (AFL)

๐Ÿ“ต AFL 360 co-host Gerard Whateley believes the league should introduce a $1 million fine and automatic 11-week suspension to anyone who breaches the integrity of the game, warning that the code is not taking these issues anywhere near as seriously as it should.

Collingwood was fined $20,000 after star pair Jordan De Goey and Jeremy Howe were spotted using their mobile phones in the middle of a game despite not being one of 10 authorised device carriers the club is allowed.

๐Ÿ—ฃ Carlton great Mark Maclure has aired his grievances about the clubโ€™s lack of recent success in an eight-minute emotional plea for the side to finally realise its potential after two decades mired in mediocrity. (Fox)

๐Ÿค The AFLW best and fairest award has been split between Collingwood co-captain Brianna Davey and Fremantle star Kiara Bowers after a thrilling count at the 2021 W Awards. (Fox)

โŒ South Sydney superstar Latrell Mitchell has been suspended for a late and high shot on Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma.

The 23-year-old failed to have his grade-two dangerous contact (head/neck) downgraded at the NRL Judiciary tonight and has been slapped with a four-week ban - which holds disastrous consequences for his Dally M tilt. (nine)

โœ… Sydney Roosters star Victor Radley has successfully had his grade-two careless contact charge on Cameron Munster downgraded to a grade-one charge - his defence labelling the arm as "clumsy".

It means Radley will not be suspended and will instead cop a $1900 fine. (nine)

๐Ÿช“ Ricky Stuart has opted to wield the axe, for his side's clash with the Cowboys on Saturday - Joseph Tapine and Sia Soliola left out of the top 17, while star prop Josh Papali'i moves to the bench. (nine)

๐Ÿ’ฐ Chad Townsendโ€™s decision to leave the Sharks could start a domino effect across the NRL, while the Broncos could be in position to pounce on Adam Reynolds and Mitchell Moses. (Fox)

Super Greed - Looks like it may be over before it even starts

The European Super League was created "to save football", said Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

The idea was for the top European football clubs to break away from UEFA and start their own competition in 2021. Of the 16 teams contesting the competition, 11 would be labelled as โ€œcore foundingโ€ clubs.

These 11 clubs would be guaranteed their places in the Super League for 20 years.

It was met with mass out-rage and disappointment by fans and commentators alike.

Since then (about an hour ago), Manchester City have announced they will not be joining and Chelsea are said to be joining them in withdrawing from the, so called ESL.

The list of 'big clubs' not taking part currently stands at: Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Man City & Chelsea.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ Breaking; Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli, who resigned from the UEFA executive committee to join the league has now resigned as Chairman of Juventus!

๐Ÿ”ฎ Anyone think they might start a whole new league, like the IPL, with team names like the Manchester Blue Angels, and play all over the world, with the semi-finals onwards to be played on the Mars?

๐Ÿ˜† This is probably my favourite Jose at Tottenham moment. - Tottenham have appointed former player, Ryan Mason, 29, as interim head coach following Mourinho's sacking.

Trainer Chris Waller confirmed he has used his slot to negotiate a deal with Nature Stripโ€™s owners securing the brilliant chestnutโ€™s place in the elite 12-horse field for the worldโ€™s richest turf race at Royal Randwick later this year.

Waller and Nature Stripโ€™s owners have been negotiating the terms of agreement since the sprinter blitzed his rivals in the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes on Day One of The Championships earlier this month. (racenet)
