✈️ The AFL confirms it will temporarily relocate both the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide Football Clubs to Victoria and change the venue of their respective Round 19 matches.

Both clubs will fly to Victoria this evening and live under the same protocols as Victorian-based players and staff, giving both of the teams the ability to train and play in the state.

The following updates will be made to the Round 19 fixture.

• Port Adelaide vs Collingwood will remain on Friday July 23. It will commence at 7:10pm AEST and be played at Marvel Stadium as the Victorian venue preferred by Port Adelaide for the match.

• Adelaide Crows vs Hawthorn will remain on Saturday July 24 but will now commence at 7:40pm AEST and be played at Marvel Stadium in line with the preference of the Adelaide Crows and having regard to venue availability and broadcast and other logistics. Marvel Stadium will accordingly host a double header on Saturday, with Carlton vs North Melbourne being played at 1:45pm AEST.

💰 Clubs are anticipating a rise of up to $250,000 in their football department soft caps next year as the AFL continues to deal with the fallout of another COVID-19 struck season.

The AFL spoke to club bosses on Tuesday for a briefing that included an update on soft cap spending, which relates to football department staffers including coaches, recruiting and list management and fitness and medical areas.

They were informed they were likely to receive a spike of $200-250,000 per club in football department spending for 2022 but no specific details were passed on as the League works through another challenging campaign. (AFL)

👶🏻 The Penrith Panthers will soon be without prop James Fisher-Harris, who will leave the NRL bubble to attend the birth of his child. Fisher-Harris will then need to quarantine and get approval before returning to the field.

If Fisher-Harris elects to re-join his teammates following the birth of his child, there are no certainties the Queensland government will allow the Penrith prop to come back into the state.

Cronulla Sharks centre Will Chambers yesterday admitted his NRL career could be over if the Queensland government doesn't allow him to enter the state, after he too broke the NRL bubble to attend childbirth.

Chambers has since undertaken a 14-day isolation period and is currently waiting for clearance to enter Queensland.

📃 The Round 19 NRL team lists round are in as the Melbourne Storm get set to welcome back Ryan Papenhuyzen following a lengthy layoff with concussion.

Papenhuyzen, who's only featured on six occasions this season, has missed Melbourne's past seven games after suffering a concussion during Magic Round.

The 23-year-old speedster has now been named on the interchange in the No.17 jersey. (Team Lists)
