🇦🇺 Gold Coast delivered a stunning performance, dominating an under-strength Geelong by 64 points in a statement victory. A remarkable second quarter, featuring six unanswered goals, propelled the Suns to a commanding 26.8.164 to 15.10.100 win at Marrara Oval in Darwin.

Jack Lukosius shone with five goals and five assists, supported by Bailey Humphrey (five goals), Ben King (four), and Sam Day (three), among others. The Suns' historic high score elevates them to sixth on the ladder, while Geelong's third consecutive defeat puts them at risk of dropping out of the top four.

🙋🏼‍♀️ NSW leads the inaugural three-game women's State of Origin series after a strong 22-12 victory over Queensland in the series opener at Suncorp Stadium. Despite concerns over a new halves combination and limited match practice, the Sky Blues dominated with a powerful 14-0 first half.

They now have the opportunity to secure the series with a home game against the Maroons in Newcastle on June 6.

🏀 The Boomers have finalised their squad for the upcoming Olympic Games, trimming it down to 17 players by cutting five hopefuls. Among those not making the cut are Rocco Zikarsky and Johnny Furphy, along with Will McDowell-White, Keanu Pinder, and Sam Froling.

Coach Brian Goorjian will gather the team in late June for a training camp, followed by warm-up matches against China in Melbourne from July 2-5.

🇦🇺 Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge has refrained from providing details about the playing future of injured star Tom Liberatore. The 31-year-old sustained a severe concussion during the team's recent loss to Hawthorn in round eight, leading to his indefinite absence from play.

Liberatore suffered the injury after being struck by a stray boot to the head, resulting in a frightening forehead laceration.

⚽️ A-League Semi-Finals: Phoenix v Victory: The first leg ended 0-0, setting up a crucial clash in Wellington. The Victory's recent struggles to score make it challenging for them to advance. They may need to rely on penalties. Wellington, despite being the underdog, has performed well. Expect them to qualify for the Grand Final.

Central Coast v Sydney FC: The first leg ended with Central Coast winning 2-1. With key players suspended or injured, it'll be challenging for Sydney to turn the tide. Central Coast, playing at home, looks poised to secure their first-ever home Grand Final.

⚽️ In the final round of Premier League matches, all 20 teams will play at 1:00am Monday (AEST).

🥊 Boxing great Lennox Lewis is tipping “bigger guy” Tyson Fury to become undisputed world heavyweight champion by beating Oleksandr Usyk.

The winner of Saturday's super-fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will become the first boxer in history to hold all four majors titles.

Lewis was the division’s last undisputed champion when he held the title almost 25 years ago, when there were three recognised world titles.

“Tyson Fury should win on points,” Lewis told BBC Sport. The bigger guy has longer arms, great movement. Both have great movement, both want to win, so it's going to be a great fight.”

🏈 The full schedule of fixtures has been announced for the 2024 NFL season, with the Kansas City Chiefs looking to create history.

The season will begin on the first full weekend of September and, as is tradition, the Super Bowl champions open the new season that Thursday.

That means the Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens on 5 September in a repeat of last year’s AFC Championship game - effectively one of the Super Bowl semi-finals.

The NFL will play its first game in Brazil on 6 September before a full programme on 8 September.

The regular season lasts 18 weeks, with each team playing 17 games, and ends on 5 January 2025. (all local times)

⚽️ Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says the club want to keep skipper Bruno Fernandes after the Portuguese midfielder stated his desire to remain at Old Trafford.

United are known to be willing to listen to offers for all their first-team stars, with the exception of youngsters Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund as they look to raise funds for a squad rebuilding exercise.

Fernandes is on that list and has been linked with moves to Inter Milan and Bayern Munich in recent days, although it is felt it would take a sizeable offer to persuade United to part with their talisman.
